In the world of substance abuse and addiction treatment, you want to make the best decision for you or your loved one. Recovery First is here to help you make that decision and to follow up with treatment and results.
Here at Recovery First Inc., we strive to provide a sober living environment for people to battle chemical dependancy. Either recovering from drugs or alcohol, it is necessary to have such of an environment at first. Our program is a three phase, 12-step based program.
In phase 1 clients will: complete all intake paperwork, recieve house assignments, have an orientation session and also submit their first urine sample. Clients will also recieve short-term treatment planning, have to attend six 12-step meetings per week, obtain employment, find a sponsor, set goals with facilitator and derive a budget. Phase 1 is 14 to 30 days long, depending on the client.
Now in phase 2, clients will begin to develop life skills, and experience real life situations with the saftey net of a supportive recovery community. Clients will be required to: retain employment, attend four 12-step meetings per week, attend all recovery groups, (groups we provide) and begin financial counseling. (debt analysis, open a checking and or savings account, buy a car, etc. identify and solidify debts) Phase 2 is the core of the recovery program, and will usually take 3 to 6 months to complete.
The third phase of the program is the transitional period. Clients will focus on planning for their futures in sobriety. This phase lasts about 2 to 4 months. By this time the client should be in the maintenence process of the 12-steps; they will have a working relationship with a God of their understanding and the ability to practice spiritual principals in their lives. We encourage all clients to work through the 12-steps before leaving the program. Also in phase 3, clients will be required to: attend 12-step meetings once every two days and have a relapse prevention plan for a succesful discharge. Clients will also be presented with the option to be enrolled in our 3/4 program. They can even become a program mentor.
In each phase there are requirements to move to the next. It is a case by case basis for each client, so the lengths of each phase is never set in stone.
