Genesis House Recovery Residence Inc.
FacilityThe Genesis House complex is located on five acres in a quite, wooded residential area of Palm Beach County. All living units and houses are air-conditioned and fully furnished. Included are: color television, cable, phones, VCR, washer/dryer, snack machine on premises and lounge area. Out-side Barbeque grills are available for resident use during free time. On site at Genesis, we have a small weight room, ping-pong, basketball, and a volleyball court. Genesis House utilizes a private gym nearby so the clients may workout on a regular basis. All residents must attend weekly house meeting to discuss the state of Genesis House with peers and Staff.
Program Activities
Genesis House Yoga Program
At Genesis House we understand the value and importance of providing our clients with activities that meet their needs for physical exercise while in residence with us. With that in mind, we recently began offering weekly yoga classes on Friday mornings.
The ancient art and science of yoga that began over 4,000 years ago and is now firmly entrenched into Western culture is a highly effective way to strengthen and tone the body, increase flexibility and stamina, create a sense of balance and well being, calm the central nervous system and help manage stress levels.
Participation in our yoga program is on a voluntary basis and is taught by a local instructor who interacts with our clients in a warm and compassionate manner.
Other activities include: Private Gym workouts, private swimming pool on grounds, beach trips, fishing, sober dances/picnics, volleyball, on-site basketball court.
Location
We are located in Palm Beach County, Florida. Our facility is only minutes from Florida's beautiful beaches, entertainment centers, and shopping malls. In the immediate area there are over two hundred 12-step meetings conducted weekly. Genesis is only minutes from Delray Beach, West Palm Beach, and Palm Beach International Airport.
